POEA Accepting Care Givers and Nurses to Japan

The POEA (Philippine Overseas Employment  Administration has issued Advisory No. 35 accepting applicants for jobs as Care Givers and Nurses to Japan. Their preference are people between the age of  20 to 35 years old.

This requirement is in cooperation with JICWELS (Japan International Cooperation of Welfare Services).

Last day of application is tomorrow January 6, 2011. So you better hurry and submit your application if you want to take advantage of this opportunity.

You can submit your documents at Manpower Registry Division, Ground Floor, POEA Building, EDSA corner Ortigas Avenue, Mandaluyong City or register online at their website at http://www.eregister.poea.gov.ph

Document Requirements are as follows: – A detailed resume with one piece 2×2 picture – College diploma (for caregiver applicant, diploma should be authenticated) – Transcript of Records – Valid PRC ID – Employment Certificates (for Nurse applicants) – Valid TESDA Certificate on Caregiving – Valid passport – Valid NBI Clearance (for travel abroad)

OWWA Gives OFWs Free Shuttle Rides to Bus Terminals

Good news to returning Overseas Filipino Workers. OWWA (Overseas Workers Welfare Administration) is giving free shuttle rides to different bus terminals in Metro Manila.

Shuttle buses and OWWA personnels will be available to assist you when you arrive in NAIA terminals 1, 2, and 3.

OWWA Administrator Carmelita Dizon said this is part of the Pamaskong Handog program of the Department of Labor and Employment.

Evening Masses in United Arab Emirates

For Filipino Catholics working in the United Arab Emirates, there will be evening masses in some of your local churches.

Atleast two Catholic Churches have confirmed. They are St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Oud Metha, Dubai and St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Yarmook, Sharjah.

Mass schedule starts tonight, December 15 and will be until December 23.

It will be held every 7:30 pm at St. Mary’s and 8 pm at St. Michael’s.
