Good News for Filipino’s Working Abroad and their families, Section 22 of Republic Act 10022 is now in effect. It amends Republic Act 8042 also know as the Migrant Workers and Overseas Filipino Act.
This means that OFWs will no longer be charged the Documentary Stamp Tax whenever they send remittance to the Philippines.
To avail of this benefit OFW beneficiaries or Recipients must show a Proof of Entitlement. You can get the Proof of Entitlement at the POEA office.
